3D printing is coming to Bee Best Learning Center this summer! This is an exciting opportunity for students to apply their creativity and learn computer design tools to create 3D objects.
3D Printing Open House
Families will have an opportunity to see a 3D printer in operation and meet the instructor during our next open house on Saturday, May 17, between 3:00pm and 5:00pm. Please stop by to see this amazing technology in action. Dr. Maya will also show several 3D project examples ranging from minecraft bricks, dna replica, bracelets, and much more.
3D Printing Workshop

Session #1 July 14 – July 18
Session #2 August 11 – 15
Half-day workshops
Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 or 1:30-3:30 on Monday – Friday
Age: Students entering grades 3-8 in the fall
Cost: $150 per session
Full-day workshops
Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 and 1:30-3:30 on Monday – Friday
Age: Students entering grades 3-8 in the fall
Cost: $260 per session
Material fee: ( hand to teacher in first class)

Learning outcomes from 3D workshops
Students will learn simple design tools for creating solid objects, discover and understand how things are created, and apply math and craft skills while developing their creative side. With the power of a 3D printer, students will see their designs become solid objects. 3D printing is an emerging technology for the next generation and this workshop helps students develop skills needed in the future.

Maya Lim
3D Technology Instructor
Dr. Maya Lim is an inspirational educator who specializes in 3D printing and bio-printing projects. She has a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from UC Berkeley and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London. For five years, Dr. Maya was a professor at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), a top engineering university in Singapore. Most recently she is a founder and director of SE3D Education and enjoys teaching 3D printing design and technology to students.
