October Tuition & Transportation Fee Slip 
Our October tuition and transportation fees cover September 29 to October 24, 2025, and are due October 10th. To access the slip, click here or on our website beebestlearning.com at the “Parent Portal” tab with the password “fall2025”

Prepaid Meal Plan and October Hot Snack Order (Optional) 
All lunch and hot snack orders must be paid for using the prepaid meal plan. You can purchase the prepaid meal plan ahead of time before ordering the meal in Google Forms. The prepaid meal plan is sold for $20, $40 or $60. The meal cost is $5.00 per hot snack and $8.00 per lunch.

Once the meal order is finalized by the deadline, no cancellations or carryovers will be allowed. You can choose between receiving a refund for the remaining balance of your prepaid meal order or carrying it forward for the next school year.

Wednesday, October 7, Thursday, October 9, and Tuesday, October 21: Minimum Days 
We will inform our drivers of the revised time for pick-up. If your child does not need to be picked up, please call your driver. If your child arrives at Bee Best during lunchtime, please pack a bag of lunch. 

• Middle School: Wednesday, 10/07, Thursday, 10/09, and Tuesday, 10/21 
• Elementary School: Thursday, 10/9 

Friday, October 10, Monday, October 13, and Tuesday, October 14: No School (Fall Non-School Days and Staff Development Day) 
On Friday, October 10th , Monday, October 13th , and Tuesday, October 14th public schools in Castro Valley are closed for Fall Non-School Days. Bee Best will be open on a special schedule from 8:00 am – 6:30 pm and all students must sign up if they plan to attend that day so we can accommodate proper staffing. We will NOT accept any drop-ins. If you would like to purchase lunch ($8.00) for your child per day, the menu will be pizza (cheese & pepperoni) with fruit and milk on Friday, a chicken sandwich with fruit and milk on Monday, and hotdogs with buns with fruit and milk on Tuesday.  

Note Monday & Tuesday (10/13-10/14): there is no extra fee to attend, however for Friday (10/10) for 5-day program: no extra fee since Friday is included, however if 4-day program students want to attend Friday then the fee is $90 per day. 

Friday, October 31st: Halloween Carnival 
Bee Best will be celebrating Halloween with our annual Carnival Party on Friday, October 31st! Students will rotate through fun game stations—like bean bag toss and bucket ball—to earn candy and small toy prizes. 

If your child would like to participate, please send the following: 

• A costume (optional, modest, and non-violent) 
• An empty bag or Halloween bucket clearly labeled with your child’s name 

If you prefer your child not participate, they may enjoy quiet activities like reading or coloring in a separate room. Please notify Director Jing if this is your preference. 

Homework Expectations at Bee Best 
Homework is a top priority during our designated homework time. We encourage all students to complete their assignments independently, building strong habits of responsibility and focus. 

If your child has questions or doesn’t understand part of their homework, we ask them to speak directly with the teacher or teaching assistant in the room—we’re here to help! 

Once homework is finished, students will work on Bee Best’s supplemental Math and English take out practice papers. If you’d prefer your child to read instead of doing supplemental work, please let their room teacher know. 

Parent Teacher Conference via Zoom (Optional) 
If you would like to schedule a 15-minute Zoom conference with your child’s room teacher, please click the following Calendly invite based on your child’s classroom number to schedule your one-on-one Zoom parent-teacher conference. We will do our best to accommodate by opening more Zoom conference meeting slots, if necessary, in November. 

The schedule options are as follows: 

Communication 
If you would like to make an appointment to meet your child’s room teacher in-person or on Zoom aside from a parent teacher conference, please let us know by sending an email request to info@beebestlearning.com. This will help us to understand better your expectations on how your child is completing the daily homework assignments or any concerns and questions that you may have. 

Traffic Flow in Bee Best Parking Lot during Pick-up Procedure REMINDER 
During drop off and pick up, parents will drive into the Bee Best parking lot and then drive through the loop in our rear parking lot behind the building and stop along the curb near the lobby door of the building. Parents must always remain in their vehicles until our staff directs your child to exit or enter the vehicle.  

Please keep the following in mind: 

• Do not make a U-turn in the front parking lot. 
• Do not stop unexpectedly in the front lot to talk to staff, instead place your child’s name placard in your car window. 
• The speed limit is 5 mph in the parking lot for everyone’s safety. 

Please be extra patient, especially during our busiest pick-up time, and be courteous with other Bee Best families. 

Absence Reporting Feature in Children Curbside Pickup App 
As you know, we have the absence reporting tabs available in the Children Curbside Pickup App. On the bottom of the screen, you will see the “Absence” icon to report your child’s absence. 

Parents are encouraged to start using this feature in addition to continuing to send group text messages to Ms. Jing and the driver/pick-up staff if your child does not need to be picked up from school.

Workshops  
Our fall session of workshops are currently in progress. If your child is enrolled in a workshop, please keep the day and time in mind so you are not picking up your child during his/her workshop schedule. 
There is no workshop on Friday, 10/10, Monday, 10/13, Tuesday, 10/14, and Friday, 10/31
