Fall 2020 Programs Enrollment Update as of July 24, 2020

FALL 2020 ENROLLMENT UPDATE as of Friday, July 24, 2020 at 7:00pm 


Because the local Castro Valley school district is following the virtual learning model for the first several weeks of school, Bee Best will be offering a temporary fall 2020 program to better serve families. When the local school district begins in-person instruction (hybrid model), Bee Best will then modify our programs to better work with the elementary schools’ AM/PM schedule. 


Our temporary Fall 2020 Programs starting Monday, August 17, 2020, are as follow: 


1.    Temporary Homework Support Program at Bee Best

Students in grades TK-5 can stay at Bee Best on weekdays, and our staff will help them access and complete their virtual learning school homework. Each class group will be limited to a maximum of 8 students and up to 2 staff. The program schedule and tuition for each 4-week cycle is below: 

  • Full Day (7:30am-5:30pm)  $1,500 
  • Half Day AM (7:30am-12:30pm)  $900 
  • Half Day PM (1:00pm-6:00pm)  $950


2.   Virtual Mandarin Chinese Classes
Small group, 30-minute Mandarin lessons will be available via Zoom on Mondays through Thursdays for grades K-5 for 35 weeks. Each group will have 10-15 students. The fee is $980 for all 35 weeks of lessons.

  • 3:15pm-3:45pm  or 
  • 4:00pm-4:30pm 

Bee Learning Center is committed to following the guidelines presented by the Alameda County Health Department and CDC. Therefore, we must limit our capacity due to social distancing and public health guidelines. At this time, Bee Best is adopting a maximum of 8 students and up to 2 staff per class (social group) per 4-week period.  Currently, we are only accepting a maximum of 56 students into our fall Homework Support Program.

To follow the new county guidelines and restrictions, ALL after school program 2020-2021 registrations received by us prior to July 18, 2020 have been CANCELLED. All interested families are required to re-enroll if they would like their child to join our program this fall.

TENTATIVE TIMELINE (subject to change) 

  • July 27-29:  PRIORITY REGISTRATION opens for those who previously enrolled in our after school program prior to July 18, 2020 and have paid a $100 deposit. A private link for priority registration will be sent via email on Monday, July 27 at 9:00am. 
  • August 1:  REFUND REQUEST instructions will be emailed to those who previously enrolled in our after school program prior to July 18, 2020, have paid the $100 deposit, and want to request a withdrawal from our program. 
  • August 3-5:  REGISTRATION OPENS to ALL Students 
  • August 15:  VIRTUAL ORIENTATION for all parents/guardians at 10:30am-11:30am. Topics include understanding our updated policies, procedures and guidelines for COVID-19, and Q&A session.
