COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 Update, June 9, 2020 at 4:50 pm

Effective on June 8, 2020, Alameda county public health posted an update with regards to shelter-in place guideline. Because of this current health order, Bee Best Learning Center can no longer offer a weekly summer camp in our traditional model but instead will be replaced by a 4-week bundle camp covering July 6-31, 2020 for 5-days full day (8am-6pm) and half day (morning 8am-12:30pm and afternoon 1:30pm-6pm).

We will also required to assigned children to be in a stable group (social bubble) of 10 or fewer throughout the 4 weeks of camp. The stable group means that the children will remain with the same group throughout the day for 4 weeks and do not mix with other groups in any way. The teaching staff to student ratio will be up to two staff to a maximum of 10 students (with a total of 12 including two staff and 10 students).

Therefore, as of June 9, 2020, for those of you who have registered to our weekly summer camp in the month of July and August previously will receive an email cancellation notice within this week and will get a priority registration (on June 15-17, 2020) for our 4-week bundle summer camp registration for July 6-31, 2020.

Our 4-week bundle July 6-31, 2020 summer camp registration will be opened to public from June 18-28, 2020.

With regards to our after school program in the fall, Bee Best Learning Center decision of re-opening is highly dependent on CVUSD decision and new school schedule.  In order for us to be able to practice social distancing and comply with the public health guidelines, we need to reduce our capacity. Therefore, for those of you who already registered for our after school program 2020-2021 prior to June 8, 2020 will receive an email cancellation notice within the next two weeks.
At this time, we can no longer guarantee a spot for your child(ren) and we will inform you when the new registration for the fall after school program 2020-2021 will open.

As a reminder, Bee Best Learning Center will remained closed until end of June 2020. We will resume operation for summer camp starting on Monday, July 6, 2020.

Due to the shelter in place order, please contact us via email for any communications until July 6, 2020 because our office is closed and we will not monitor office voicemail.

COVID-19 Update, March 12, 2020 at 11:39 am

We are taking extra steps and precautions to make sure our students are safe:

  1. We have installed additional hand sanitizer stations in our snack area for convenience.

  2. Staff continues to remind students to use safe hygiene practices by washing hands, etc.

Additional guidance from the Alameda County Public Health Department (ACPHD) regarding how to reduce the risk related to community gatherings. The goals of this guidance were to protect people attending and working at events, to reduce community transmission, and to slow and decrease the spread of the virus.

In accordance with the recent direction from Alameda County about limiting large gatherings until after spring break, the following events are cancelled/postponed at Bee Best:

  • Math Kangaroo Competition 3/19

Any future or additional cancellations will be communicated as soon as possible.  We are following CVUSD’s decision. If Bee Best does close, the tuition and transportation fee will be credited toward the next pay period.

A friendly reminder, please do not send your child to school if they are ill.  As a reminder, they must be fever free, without the aid of a fever reducer medication for a minimum of 24 hours before returning to school.  If your child is going to be absent, please call us at (510) 728-2110 or text Director Jing at (510) 402-7500 and let us know.

COVID-19 Update, March 2, 2020 at 11:14 am

We understand that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a concern for many people. Fortunately, at this time, there are no known cases in Alameda County. Our center is following the guidelines of the Alameda County Public Health Department.

  • We are asking all families to keep your children at home if they are feeling sick and/or exhibiting cold/flu symptoms. We have also requested our staff members to stay home and not come into work if they are feeling ill.
  • If any member of your household has recently visited a foreign or local destination which have reported Coronavirus cases, we ask you to please seek a medical opinion and consider a voluntary self-quarantine in your home to help reduce any possible spread within our community.
  • Please remind your child to cover any coughs or sneezes with a tissue and to immediately dispose of the tissue in a garbage can.
  • Each day after students leave our center, our staff is sanitizing all commonly touched surfaces (doorknobs, tables, laptop keyboards, etc.) in the lobby, classrooms, and bathrooms.
  • We have placed a large hand sanitizer bottle in each room which is available for use by all students and staff.
  • We are also encouraging all students upon arrival from school to wash their hands with soap and water before eating snack.

The risk to the general public continues to remain low, and this will hopefully continue as long as everyone does their part to follow the guidelines.
